Do you remember my report about Summer lake zander? I planned to target them this year but unfortunately I had no time and I postponed the trip to early Autumn. We had just one weekend available so we decided to focus on just one venue. I prepared multiple set-ups including drop shot, vertical jigging, jerking and of course standard jigging.
Which one was the most productive? Yes , as usual it was the jigging that gave me most of the fish. I was particularly disappointed with DS. Maybe it was too early and the water was too warm…
We didn’t catch the numbers – just a few zander per person – but two of them were worth casting the whole weekend. They were extremely fat already which was really surprising considering the time of the year. Maybe (cold) winter is coming? 😉
